Game Night

Florida State Seminoles will face South Alabama tonight at 4:30 p.m. in the second round of the NCAA Women’s Soccer Championship. Florida State will host South Alabama for this game. Florida State’s record is 15-2-4 and South Alabama’s record is 18-2-2. I think Florida State will have a hard time beating South Alabama this year but then again Florida State has beat South Alabama in the 2013 and 2014 first round with a pair of 5-0 victories. So I believe that might be an easy game for FSU if they come in ready and on their toes but if they aren’t ready to score right away than it might be a tuft game for FSU but we will see tonight at 4:30.

Florida State Seminoles win against the Virginia cavaliers

In the first half Florida state gets the first goal with no assist by number 14 Natalia Kuikka, she plays defender and midfielder. If you were at the back view of the goal the shot went in, in the lower right corner. Then before the first half ended virgina got a goal. The goal was made by number 9, Makenzy Doniak. The ball was put in the 18′ box by number 15, Tina Iordanou headed by number 2, Betsy Brandon, went off the right post (front view of the goal) and headed again by Makenzy Doniak with a block by the goalie and again headed by her straight to the ground and kicked int the goal by her. The second half had come and Florida State got another goal off of a corner kick kicked in by number 22, Kristen Crowley. Virginia coming back with a shot by Makenzy Doniak again. The game was brought into penalty kicks and Virginia just missed one shot out of the 7 but Florida State had made them all. Florida State advances in the playoffs!!

Florida State Seminoles

Florida State ends the regular season coming in second place of the Atlantic Coast Conference standings. Florida State is the No. 2 seed in this weekends ACC women’s soccer championship. This is the 10th time in 11 seasons that the Seminoles finished in the top two of the regular season conference standings. FSU has one three of the last four ACC championships 2011, 2013 and  2014. The Seminoles will face No. 8 North Carolina in the semifinals as they compete for a spot in the finals.
