Penn State wins the 2015 D1 Women’s Soccer Championship

Penn State plays Duke for the D1’s Women Soccer Champion ship and wins with a score of 1-0. This would be the first women’s soccer title for Penn State! Duke did have the chance to score in the first half but just missed hitting the top corner post of the net twice. The first half ended with a 0-0 tie, and as you know both teams came into the second half ready and wanting that championship, but Penn State shut out Duke with a 1-0 win!

The first link below is a video of the highlights of the game And the second link below is a summary of the game.

Duke Stops the Seminoles…

Florida state did play well but they just weren’t playing hard enough! Duke Scored the first goal with 13:15 left in the first half. Number 12 put the ball in the net and number 10 made the assist for the goal to happen. FSU fought back and ended the first half 1-0 Duke. In the second half FSU held it strong all the way till the end… Duke got a second goal with just 2 seconds on the clock, 2 SECONDS, by number 10. The ball was punted by Duke’s a little bit shy of the half field line, and from there number 10 on Duke brought it just to outside of FSU’s 18 inch goalie box and shot it and she made it in ending the game 2-0.

Can’t Stop Florida State!

Florida state won their game against South Alabama with a 5-0 victory! Within the first two minutes of the game FSU got a goal from a penalty kick! Three minutes later FSU put the ball in the back of the net again! In the first five minutes of the game FSU had six shots on net, and by the end of the first half FSU had 3 more goals ending the first half 5-0. FSU had 25 shots that game and South Alabama only had 3. FSU just keeps getting W’s. Tonight at 7:30 FSU will be playing Duke. I think FSU will have a pretty good chance of winning. FSU is No. 2 in the seed with a 18-2-4 record and Duke is No. 20 in the seed with a 13-5-5 record.

Game Night

Florida State Seminoles will face South Alabama tonight at 4:30 p.m. in the second round of the NCAA Women’s Soccer Championship. Florida State will host South Alabama for this game. Florida State’s record is 15-2-4 and South Alabama’s record is 18-2-2. I think Florida State will have a hard time beating South Alabama this year but then again Florida State has beat South Alabama in the 2013 and 2014 first round with a pair of 5-0 victories. So I believe that might be an easy game for FSU if they come in ready and on their toes but if they aren’t ready to score right away than it might be a tuft game for FSU but we will see tonight at 4:30.

The video below is the highlights of the game against South Alabama in 2014, and the link below is an article of the game tonight.
